As a primary teacher, I was always on the search for activities that could help ease my new students into the routine of academic centers. I needed predictable and familiar activities that were developmentally appropriate, hands-on, and engaging for my kinders in the beginning of the year.
My First MATH Centers are exactly what you need to get math centers up and running in your classroom. This pack has been created specifically for the first month of kindergarten. Kindergarteners need lots of practice and repetition before they are ready to work in true, rotating academic centers. They need to be able to work semi-independently and that can only happen when they know and understand the task and expectations. This pack will help build up that independence and set them up for success!
Each activity in this pack contains multiple opportunities for students to practice skills in the same format.
Included you will find ONE FULL MONTH of centers for the beginning of the year, including:
1. NUMERALS AND COUNTING
2. COUNTING IN SEQUENCES
